After undergoing numerous leadership changes over the years, the company was rebranded as Valiant Entertainment in 2005 under the strong guidance of Dinesh Shamdasani and Jason Kothari. Jim Shooter, the former editor-in-chief at Marvel, started the new publishing company along with businessman Steven Massarsky. Valiant Comics first burst onto the scene in 1989.
